Emotion has it’s purpose!
It is a way of our heart tells our mind something. It is only when the emotion incapacitates us that perhaps it’s time something needs to be done about it.
Externalizing your emotion helps to objectify it to a certain extent, writing it down is also a good way to objectify it. This doesn’t mean that you won’t feel anything, but it can ease the feeling.
Now remember that this is only a first step. The next step is to analyse the object (emotion,) and then work on ways to either ease it, release it, or take action to modify the circumstances which have given rise to the experience of that emotion.
